Yoga Therapy & Meditation
Yoga asanas (postures) have tremendous therapeutic effect on our physical structure, vital energy and creative intelligence. Practicing asanas consist of various static poses and physical movements to release tensions, improve flexibility, maximize the flow of energy and restore the physical body. This session is designed for an individual to harmonize mind and body using the right movements and asanas to create balance & a healing environment within.
Meditation is the essential and culminating practice in yoga. Ayurveda as mind-body medicine promotes meditation as one of its main therapies. While meditating, we practice our ability to contact our true Self by placing the mind in a calm and concentrated state to renew our mental energy not only to heal the mind, but also to heal the body. All practices include a meditation portion to allow for assimilation and integration of the poses on the subtle level.
